Terrific Tuesday Tax Tip – Accounts Software

Posted on 3rd August 2020

Accounts Software

There are many bookkeeping software packages available with varying functions. Also, many companies use manual systems such as spreadsheets to record transactions. If you decide to go with a computerised package, you need to:-

  • Confirm the upfront (if any) and ongoing licence costs.
  • Consider what functionality you will require, for example, if you will require a stock control facility or need to be able to process transactions and report in foreign currencies.
  • Consider whether you want to hold your accounts data physically in-house on your computers/ servers or if you want to use a “cloud-based” system which is an external system / server
  • Review which software / system will be user-friendly for you / your accounts team.
  • Consider your backup arrangements and the security of your accounts data.

At The Avanti Group (UK) Ltd, we can provide training in Sage Line 50 the more traditional desktop software, our own in-house Excel based eCashBook, for those less confident with software and numbers and we are proud to be accredited Xero SILVER partners providing the software and training.  Enabling you to be confident and efficient with your bookwork – allowing you to get on and do what you do best, running your business.
