Why do they do that?
Have you wondered why people that work for you or that you work with, do the things they do?
Well there is a reason and at the BCMT centre we can shine some light on that for you.
Every human being has a profile of strengths, weakness, areas for improvement and general characteristics, such as, value to the organisation or things that they fear, how they judge others and what their goals are. It’s not difficult to do the same about the job roles within your business as well.
A human being has a natural profile how they are at home and then there is the adapted profile of how they behave within the group dynamic of the other people in the workplace, after all we are very clever humans – we adapt to situations.
Did you know that when a new member joins your business they will probably carry the adapted work profile of their previous place of work for up to six months? Therefore, are you seeing the ‘Real’ adapted profile in the early contractual stages of a contract of employment which is 90 or 180 days.
We use types of Psychometric profiling to match job role to individual from the interview process, and through management and leadership and help the group/ team develop their motivation and performance through sharing the information amongst the team. This aids not only performance and communication but saves staff churn, of people not fitting in with the rest of the group.
It is also particularly important in sales and communication with prospects and throughout the sales cycle and the marketing messages about your business particularly if you are in a niche area or your target market is specifically psychographic or sociographic
At the BCMT centre we offer profiling for existing relationships in the business, promotions, recruitment and marketing and sales for a small licence fee of £45.00 per person, or packages for larger groups. We also run feedback sessions and business development support as we develop new job roles in the business. It is a costly element to get these decisions wrong and a great return on your investment (ROI) to get it right!
There are several profiling solutions that we specialise in from Insights Profiling (DISC), Emotional Intelligence (EQ) by Dr Martin Newman, run with the British Psychological Society, and Talent Dynamics (looking at the energies that people have developed by Roger Hamilton.
Many clients of the BCMT Centre use profiling particularly DISC for all things recruitment; although it is true to say that a profile alone is not the decision point of the interview process and a candidate will be much happier and provide you with longevity if they fit the job role, however, if they don’t then at least you know where they will take up more of your precious time in how to manage them
